New insight into neuroinflammation research

Neuroinflammation plays a prominent role in the onset and progression of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It is not exactly clear how neuroinflammation leads to neurodegeneration, but neuroinflammation is indeed associated with altered CNS homeostasis, protein misfolding, and neuronal degradation. Organized in collaboration with The Scientist, this webinar highlights the complex interactions between neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, as well as how scientists are securing a better understanding of that relationship.

Topics to be covered:

  • Molecular mechanisms of inflammatory regulation in neurodegenerative diseases
  • Incorporating functional assays to understand immune-glial interactions in both acute injury and chronic disease
